Marriage Material
Walt Disney created the ideal fairy tale for many women, but in fact marriage itself is not always the road to happiness. In many parts of the world, brides are sold and women are forced into marriage, or they see it themselves as a good, or only, way out of a far from perfect life. But also in our modern, Western society, marriage does not per se equal love.
This series I made based on the idea of a catalog for a ‘(second hand) bride auction‘. Each picture came with a short description of sizes and a promo text.
